This scarce map of the Streets of Nantucket was issued in The Island of Nantucket... by Edward K. Godfrey.  "The maps contained in the work were made expressly for it. That of the streets being from original designs by the compiler... " (Preface).  Streets are named and churches, cemeteries, ponds, "site of first Light House in U.S.", and major buildings are located.  Numerous other "places of interest" are also noted.  A great map of Nantucket as it existed in the early 1880's!
