   Linsey Bars and Diamonds

This quilt came from an 1820 house, but the quilt pre-dates the house. The homespun wool, probably loomed on the third floor of an old New England colonial, was meant for warmth. After the fabric was woven, the last process would have been to add vegetable dyes. There were seven vegetable dyes available to New Englanders at that time. This is truly a beautiful piece of history. The family name will be given upon sale.
