| Silver Tea Set, probably Srinagar, Kashmir, India, for western market, C.1910. Teapot, Cream and Sugar, rounded body, square bases, gilded interiors. Each with chasing and repousee work of chinar vegetal, floral seed pod and acanthus leaves designs; snake serpent handles, hinged lid to teapot and leafy finial similarly decorated. All marked with early Egypt .900 silver fineness assayed in Cairo, date letter u for 1919-20. Handles marked. Height of Teapot: 6.75 inches. Breadth: 9 inches. Total Weight: 31 oz |
