   A First Period Worcester Porcelain Leaf Dish decorated in the Leaf Dish "Floral Sprays Pattern"


 

Description:
The leaf dish is painted in the Leaf Dish Floral Sprays pattern (I.E.32), a pattern considered uncommon. The moulded dish appears as thought there are two overlapping leaves and the rim of each leaf is coloured in underglaze blue. The leaves are overlaid with scattered groupings of flowers. Reference: Worcester Blue & White Porcelain 1751-1790 by Lawrence Branyan, Neal French & John Sandon, page 262, #I.E.32.
