This interesting mechanical game board has a glass front, under which is a colorful lithograph with images of greyhounds. Under each of these are different numbers for the purpose of betting, which was probably done with pennies or chips. A metal tab on the front allows the roulette wheel inside to be spun with a spring-driven mechanism that rolls a pair of tiny dice. The deep wooden frame encloses the wheel and sits on four rubber feet. A hanger was added to the back so that the game can be hung on the wall with flat gameboards. This allows it to become a nice three-dimensional addition to a collection. |
