Description: |
|
New Hampshire or Vermont game board table with a large scale Parcheesi board. The salmon ground of the surface is adorned with the same black/midnight brown used on the tapered, lambs-tongued legs, skirt, and molded edge. The 8-pointed medallions in each corner, each end, and the center panel are reminiscent of the Star-of-Bethlehem. These are executed in fine white pinstriping with the care and skill of a carriage or sign-painter. Made ca 1840-60, this is an outstanding example in remarkable condition. |
