Description:

IM-11104: (555 x 405mm 21 7/8 x 16’’) Original leaf from a manuscript Choirbook. This beautiful four-line stave musical sheet is on animal parchment, written in liturgical gothic script. Six lines of music and text.

One illuminated initial “V” in pink and liquid gold with delicate white penwork with a floral interior in orange, green and blue all sitting on a deep blue ground with delicate white penwork.

Italy, c. 1450-80.

The illuminated ''V'' begins: ''Vultum tuum...'' (All the rich among the people shall entreat Thy countenance: after her shall virgins be brought to the King: her neighbors shall be brought to thee in gladness and rejoicing).
