Antique 18th century Georgian Silver Jug or Hot Water Pot of plain urn shape form. Made in London 1790 by Hester Bateman. The Jug on circular reeded slightly dome shape pedestal base, plain urn shape body with reeded band, engraved crested that of a bear's head and motto above `Respice Finem'-Consider the End, the hinged cover with swan shape spout, urn finial and probably pearwood handle, foliage capped at base. Height: 13 1/4 inches. Gross Weight: 23 oz. Fully hallmarked. |
