A remarkable British Colonial carved ebony workbox with allover floral carving. The interior of the lid with ivory inlay depiction an elephant within a circle of styleized flowers and leaves; the interior tray with many compartments, some with ivory lids having colored engraved designs, the others of wood with engraved ivory, Macassa Ebony and Rosewood inlay. On a custom stand.
