Classical period mahogany open armchair with uhpolstered seat, back and elbow pads. The rectangular back framed in mahogany with brass moldings below a foliate carved crest rail. The s-curved carved arm supports with upholstered elbow pads and carved terminals at the back rising from a plain seat rail with bowed front rail and brass moldings supported on carved and turned front legs with brass moldings. Probably Philadelphia or Washington, DC area.
