Description: |
|
A good Victorian cast iron and wood slatted seat garden bench of Aesthetic Movement design in an old green paint with white over green slats. A rare form with arched supports embellished with rope twist and gadrooned knob finials, and griffin arm supports, the arms marked with an indistinct diamond registration mark indicating the design was registered with the British patent office. It is unusual to find benches with three supports rather than the customary two. |
