Eastern Mediterranean (Cyprus Geometric Period) c 850-700 BC: A well formed two-handled Cypriot terracotta jug with a globular body, short neck, and flared rim. The body of the jug is extensively embellished with circular “bulls eye” designs distinctive to the Geometric period of ancient Cypriot art. Addition linear painting is found on the handle, neck and rim. The painting is quite fresh and bold.
Complete, with a flake under the rim and neck reattached.
