Festooned Glass Flask (94 x 41 mm � 3 11/16 x 1 5/8 inches) Rare example of ancient festooned glass;
Lovely small deep blue glass bottle having a flattened tear drop body and long tapered cylindrical neck. The flask is embellished overall with a white and yellow festooned decoration. There is an attractive yellow-tan surface patina. Custom lucite stand included. Provenance: Howard Rose Gallery, ex private American collection, acquired c. 1970 |
